Project Komets Kare Package

A little help can make a huge difference this holiday season for our armed forces serving overseas. For the third straight year, The News-Sentinel and the Fort Wayne Komets are teaming up for Project Komets Kare Package. We are asking fans to donate items at games Saturday, Dec. 20, and Sunday, Dec. 21. Suggested items for donation include:

Personal hygiene
toothpaste, deodorant, white socks, underwear, T-shirts, bar soap, sunscreen, shampoo, lip balm, eye drops, lotions, toilet paper and baby wipes

Entertainment
batteries, board games, DVDs, books, magazines, puzzle books, flashlights for reading and storage bags

Food items
powdered drink mixes, hard candies, crackers, snacks and other vacuum-sealed products

For more information on what can and can't be sent, go to www.anysoldier.com/WhatToSend.cfm.

Drop items off at the games, and we'll make sure they get to the troops as soon as possible!
