These are both the Komets’ goals tonight shot by Chad Ryan. Please be patient and let it load.

Ks have tied it up 1-1

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Right now Muskegon has played perfect road hockey so far, clogging up the middle, holding the Komets away from rebounds and neutralizing Fort Wayne’s speed. Komets have out-shot the Lumberjacks 26-16 so far. It looks very much like the Kalamazoo series so far.

1-0 Muskegon after 1

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Komets made a mistake on Muskegon’s first shot of the game and it was in the net. Komets out-shot the Lumberjacks 10-6, in a very technical game so far. Can tell a major difference in speed so far.

If you can’t make it to the game tonight

Roster update

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Olivier Legault is staying on IR for the present time but will not be moved to the 45-day IR. The Komets are waiting until P.C. Drouin goes back to the doctor on Monday to make a final decision on his status, and if he goes on IR, Olivier would come off and be eligible to play.

According to the Komets office, there are currently only about 5,000 tickets out for tonight’s game. Maybe there will be a huge walk-up because people are staying away from the Vera Bradley sale during the day, and maybe it’s simply because it’s a school night. It really is the marketing, group sales and special events that determine the large crowds.

Orange out approaching!

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

I’m getting emails, text messages and all sorts of reminders to suggest fans wear orange to the home games. So there, I’ve officially reminded you so I can get these fanatics off my back!

I think it will look something like this, but somehow with even more orange.

There’s some highlights from Chad at the end of this. The man can flat out handle a camera.
