When he came to Fort Wayne in 1952, Long was known as ``Tiny Mite.'' When he retired in 1966 it was as ``Mr. Komet.'' He played 858 games over 14 seasons, scoring 459 goals, 465 assists and 924 points and earning 845 penalty minutes, ranking in the top 10 in each category. He also coached the Komets to the 1965 Turner Cup title. |
