 Age: Not sure

 Length: About 3 feet

 Weight: 275 pounds

 Born: Probably in the wild, but the zoo isn't sure.

 In the wild: These reptiles can grow to more than 500 pounds. They live in dry areas on the Aldabra islands in the Indian Ocean.

 Family: Mothers lay eggs in a nest dug in sand or dirt. Babies are 2 inches long at hatching and take 40 years to grow to full size.

 Food: In the wild, plants. At the zoo, food pellets, lettuce, carrots and other vegetables.

 Fun fact: Purdue loves being sprayed with water from the hose.
