Local landmark
The dome of the Allen County Courthouse has been a downtown Fort Wayne landmark for 100 years.
More than 100 years ago, the people of Allen County wanted Fort Wayne to be known as an important and progressive city for the 20th century. The construction of a magnificent courthouse was vital to their vision. Little did they know the Allen County Courthouse would become not only the most spectacular courthouse in Indiana, but one of the most ornate in the United States.

In celebrating the rededication of this landmark, we hope to pique your interest by highlighting some of the building's outstanding architectural and artistic features. We encourage you to visit the courthouse. See for yourself what makes this building unique and how you can help ensure its preservation for the next 100 years.
