Where and how do I vote?
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Click the links below to check your registration and polling place, or go to www.indianavoters.com. You can also call 260-449-7329.
Bring ID - A voter must provide government issued photo identification before casting a ballot.
Ensure your vote counts - If you get to the polling place and your name is not on the list, get help from a poll worker to make sure your vote counts. You may be directed to another voting location, or given a provisional ballot.
Request assistance: State law requires that polling locations and voting machines be accessible to elderly voters and voters with disabilities. If you need assistance voting, you may choose someone to help you (other than your employer or union officer) or one poll worker from each major political party will be available to assist you. If you wish to file a grievance about your polling place's accessibility or report possible fraudulent election activities, call the Hoosier Voter Hotline at 1-866-IN-1-VOTE (866-461-8683).

Am I eligible to vote?
You may register to vote in Allen County if:A. You are a citizen of the United States
B. You will be 18 years of age by the time of the next General Election (November 8, 2011)
C. You will have been a resident of your precinct for 30 days before the election and you are not currently in prison after being convicted of a crime.
Important dates for Allen County voters
Saturday, Nov. 5
Absentee voter board in the office of circuit court clerk must be open at least 7 hours to permit absentee voting.
Monday, Nov. 7
A. Noon deadline for the circuit court clerk to receive mailed, hand-delivered or faxed absentee ballot applications from confined voters or voters caring for a confined person requesting delivery of a ballot by an absentee voter board.
B. Noon deadline for a voter to vote an absentee ballot in the office of the circuit court clerk.
C. Final day for a confined voter, a voter caring for a confined person, or a voter with disabilities to vote an absentee ballot before an absentee voter board at the voter’s place of confinement.
