Neil and Diana Sowards recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married February 2, 1963. The couple are part owners of A-Z Coins & Stamps, Inc in Glenbrook Square.
In 1985 they founded Friends of Burma and have run this charity since that time. They are were among the first to sponsor Burmese refugees to Fort Wayne in 1990. In their retirement they continue to aid the Burmese, both in Burma (now called Myanmar) and in Fort Wayne. They will celebrate by traveling to Burma (Myanmar) in December to the Bi-centenary of Adoniram Judson's arrival to Burma.
